Ever since we started dating, Dan and I try to make time for date night each week to get out out the house and spend some quality one on one time. However, during the winter months of snow storms and negative temps, date nights can sometimes fall on the back burner. We’ve been trying to break our our hibernation (homebodies at heart) and put together a list of our favorite winter date ideas.
Take a Weekend Getaway
If you can get away for a few days, try renting a little cabin to go skiing or booking a room a spa resort. This can be especially fun if you are celebrating something! Valentine’s Day is around the corner!
Cooking Night at Home
I love a good theme night. Think Italian feast & make homemade pasta, take a shot at rolling your own sushi, or grab some fresh veggies and make your spiciest homemade curry. Pair with the appropriate cocktails!
Sled Riding and Spiked Cocoa
Trust me on this one. You are in for a night of fun and laughs!
Netflix and chill
Did you really think my date night list would not include this one? Had to…
Wine or Whiskey tasting
I’m a wine girl, he loves his whiskey. Pick a his or hers night and get yourself a nice selection to sip on together and find some new favorites.
Host a game night
A little competition is always a good thing. Invite some friends over for a friendly game night.
Winter hike with the pooch
Sometimes you just need fresh air! We take our pup for a walk everyday, ran or shine. She loves running through the snow!
Ice Skating
I may not be the best at this one, but it’s still fun to go for a date night. Especially if followed by drinks by the rink;)
Do you have any other winter date night ideas? I’d love to hear them!
Thank you to Chicwish for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
