My baby is TWO! I can’t believe it. Today, I’m spilling all the details on Ashton’s shark themed 2nd birthday party!
One of Ashton’s favorite things is balloons so I knew I had to make a balloon arch for him. This was my second third time making a balloon arch and they are a lot easier than they look! The balloon strip is included in the kit and I used command strips and clear jewelry string to hang the arch up on our porch. Linking everything I used for mine below. If you want to see a more detailed video of how I hung the arch, you can find it on my Instagram here.
I found the cutest shark fin cupcake toppers on Amazon. I ordered cupcakes with white and blue icing from our bakery and then decorated them myself with sprinkles and the fins. We also had blue chocolate covered pretzels with shark shaped sprinkles! Ashton loved those! I made his smash cake with a small cake tin. I used three layers and then dyed white icing 4 different shades of blue to create an ombre effect! Linking all the items I used for the sweets table below.
For birthday décor, I found some adorable shark themed plates and napkins. I hung an additional shark balloon and matching birthday banner above our sweets table.
My favorite decor for the shark themed party was the mini fishing pool. We filled up Ashton’s baby pool and I found the cutest fishing set on Amazon. It comes with three fishing poles and a TON of ocean life fish, sharks, crabs, etc to add in the pool. They all have little magnets on them so the kids could easily fish. Honestly, it is such great quality for under $20! It makes great bath toys as well! We gave them all buckets and I had little adirondack chairs set up around the pool. The boys all had on fishing hats and it was adorable!
Ashton had suck a great party and this theme was so fun! Now to think how I will top this one next year!
