5 Ways to Treat Yourself this Mother’s Day

If I’ve learned anything the past 8 months of being a mom, it’s that motherhood isn’t easy! I’ve also learned that you have to take care of yourself so you can take care of your babies! Since Mother’s Day is around the corner, I am sharing 5 ways to treat yourself this Mother’s Day. We moms work so hard and although Mother’s Day is only one day out of the year, I think we deserve to celebrate all month long. Start treating yourself by following my steps below.

1. Create a relaxing setting

Creating a relaxing space in your home is such a necessity- especially on Mother’s Day! For me, a relaxing setting is soaking in the tub surrounded by nature-inspired fragrances
and a glass of wine! Fragrances infused with essential oils can be so relaxing and I love using the Essential Mist Diffuser from Air Wick. This little guy sits right next to my tub and creates a really nice amount of fragrance. Not too strong but enough to notice and create a relaxing ambiance. My favorite Airwick Essential Mist oil fragrance is Happiness, made of pineapple, peach, and wild mint. This Mist Diffuser would make a great Mother’s Day gift!

2. Do what makes you feel pretty

If you’re like me, most days being a mom means I’m lucky if I have time to wash my hair. I feel so much better about myself when I get ready for the day it puts me in such a better mood. Here are a few of my ride-or-die favorites for a quick but flawless look! I love the Fold Out Face All-in-One Palette from Woosh Beauty. Their all-in-one makeup palette is all natural, easy to apply, and customized based on your skin tone. I usually top it off with Woosh’s Spin-On Lip Gloss. You can use code WOOSHWITHME to get 25% off.

For lashes, I’ve been using the Lash-Fix It Kit from Grande Cosmetics. It comes with a Lash Enhancing Serum and GrandeREPAIR Leave-In Lash Conditioner. Their serum promotes longer, thicker-looking lashes and it’s infused with conditioning vitamins, antioxidants, and amino acids.

3. Treat yourself to something nice

Mother’s Day is the perfect time to treat yourself. I recently treated myself to the G-SHOCK Women’s Watch to wear during my morning runs. I chose the GMAS110SR-7A model because I love the rose gold metallic accents! Not only is the watch water resistant, but it also has a stopwatch with countdown functions which is perfect for timing sprints and HIIT workouts!

I also picked up some cute new Blue Light Blocking glasses from EyeBuyDirect. I spend so much time on my phone or laptop and blue blockers make a big difference with headaches. I really wanted to try clear frames and love this style called Hepburn. You can use code MOM25 for 25% off orders over $65, valid until Nov 1, 2020 if you’re looking for new glasses too!

4. Do something just for you

This Mother’s Day, take the time to do something just for you! Reading a feel-good book is something I rarely have time to do, so when I do, it feels really special! I just started Sunrise on Half Moon Bay by Robyn Carr from MIRA books. This women’s fiction novel is a brand new book by a #1 New York Times bestselling author. It would make the perfect gift for Mother’s Day or for yourself! You can purchase Sunrise on Half Moon Bay at Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org, or Amazon.

5. Relax and have a cocktail

If you don’t get to do 1-4 this Mother’s Day, at least take my last piece of advice which is to relax and have a cocktail. I’ve started to make a few cocktails from this hilarious little drink book called Drinking with Chickens: Free-Range Cocktails for the Happiest Hour by Kate E. Richards. Kate has a gorgeous home, makes delicious drinks, and adds some chickens in for a few laughs. It also makes a great coffee table book! Also, my new favorite drink is the Cutting Garden Mai Tai.

I’ve been using the prettiest tumbler cocktail glasses by Replacements when I make drinks. If you’re curious, a tumbler glass is used to serve tall cocktails and other mixed drinks that contain a large proportion of a non-alcoholic mixer, and are poured over ice. It’s similar to the Collins glass although the highball glass is shorter and wider in shape. They can also be used to serve non-alcoholic beverages such as tea and soft drinks.

Replacements has tons of great pieces and barware and is offering 10% off orders $125+ at Replacements with promo code MRBB10KT2  & 20% off orders $500+ with promo code MRVV20KT2. (This code is valid thru 5/31/20 11:59pm PT and one time per household. Offers cannot be used to purchase Rolex watches, gift cards, combined with other promotions, offers, or discounts, or redeemed on prior purchases or exchanges.)

I hope these ideas can help you have a memorable and relaxing Mother’s Day because you deserve it mama!
