4 THANKSGIVING OUTFITS THAT ARE ALREADY IN YOUR CLOSET

Happy Thursday! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only two weeks away! I always struggle with what to wear on Thanksgiving. Half of me to dress to the nines, and then there’s the other half that tells me it’s acceptable to wear sweatpants. I want to look somewhat dressy being it’s a holiday with all the fam, but I also know the day revolves around lots of yummy food so I want to be comfortable. The struggle is real. If you ever go through this dilemma like I do, I put together four outfits for Thanksgiving that are stylish, comfortable, and I bet they are already hanging in your closet!

DRESS UP YOUR FLANNEL

We’ve all got one. And if you don’t, I bet your husband/boyfriend/male guy you know owns one you can borrow. Flannels are known to be a casual wardrobe staple but why not dress yours up to create a little unexpected interest? Try pairing it with black skinny pants or a pleated skirt. Add a fun statement necklace or other piece of jewelry. The key is to make this masculine piece more feminine. If your flannel is oversize, try and add some structure by tucking the shirt in or adding a belt at the waistline. I paired mine with a leather mini skirt, black matte tights, block heel booties, and a statement pearl necklace.

ADD A POP OF ORANGE

Listen, I’m not an orange girl. I’m not a warm tones girl. It’s just not me. But I do own an orange piece or two, and it just happens to be the color of the moment. Orange, rust, and warm cinnamon colorways dominated the runway at NYFW this year. And I’ll be honest, orange has never looked so appealing and wearable. If you aren’t a fan of monochromatic dressing ( I feel you my fellow orange non-believers ) try pairing it with a fur jacket or blazer. Add your favorite jeans and OTK boots and you’re ready to roll.

CHANNEL YOUR INNER BOHO

The bohemian trend is having another revival and I’m definitely falling for the rich colors and fabrics that designers are offering this year. The key to modernizing a boho look is to work these pieces into your everyday wardrobe rather than wearing the look head to toe. Try incorporating a few new fundamental staples into your every day closet that will keep you looking fresh and feminine all season. I paired this peplum embroidered top with skinny jeans, cutout booties, and my new favorite sunnies. I’ve purchased a few other bohemian items that I can’t wait to wear and linked below. The flowy skirts and tunics are my favorite and so comfortable!

THROW ON YOUR FAVORITE BLAZER

Last, but certainly not least, who doesn’t love a great fitting blazer? There are so many options – plaids, prints, oversize, boxy shoulders, military. And the best thing about the blazer is that it looks just as good for the office, as it does over a pair of jeans. So whether you pair it with a matching skirt or fitted pant, or just dress it down with a tee or blouse, it’s an effortless, photo-worthy look every single time. I went with a relaxed vibe and paired mine with a casual cami, distressed denim, and flats but if you want a dressier example check this post here, here, or here.

Any of these looks would make the perfect outfit for Thanksgiving. Who say’s you can’t look cute AND comfortable? Which is your favorite? Let me know which one you think I should wear for the holiday and thanks so much for stopping by!

I had SUCH a difficult time deciding which outfit was my favorite. A more bohemian style aesthetic is more my jam, but that pop of orange really speaks to me. Let’s just say I loved them all! haha
